Brooklyn Brewery Tour w/ Friends

Are you heading to Brooklyn? If you are, you have to stop by the Brooklyn Brewery in Brooklyn, NY. It is a must see on your trip to NY City. Make reservations if you can, they only have saturday & sunday hours, and it does get packed fast. My crew & I headed out of 57th st subway system, can I tell you it is probably the most confusing thing I have ever encountered in my life, but it is was fun to get lost with 10 friends that have no idea what we are doing or how we are going to figure out this whole subway thing, I give a lot of credit to the people of NY, and their way of life in this fablous city, but thanks to a couple of locals that helped us on our way this crew from South Jersey made it!

So we all finally make it to Brooklyn and we are only 5 blocks away. We stop for a quick bite to eat at a local pub, get a couple of local NY drafts then head to the Brewery. My mouth is now salivating at the fact, that we 1 1/2 block away from some good tasting local NY brew. So we get there, and since I had a connection there, I was able to get us in for the 3'oclock tour. It starts sharply, but we had 20 mins to spare and some free tokens so we indulged ourselves with all different types of beers & brews, I preferred the Summer Ale because 1 - never had it, and 2 - it is summer-time. Makes perfect sense, right? Well anyway, the Summer Ale is one of the best tasting beers, I have had in along time, Hoppy and has a citrus/floral correlation that is tantalizing on the tongue. This is a must try at Brooklyn Brewery, I also like there Local 1 Golden Ale and there famous Brooklyn Lager. I am sure the other beers were great but I stuck with 3 for this road trip. We finally got done the tour in probably like a 1/2 hr and went back to drinking more, and more & more....... We finally left around 5:30pm with beer bellies filled and ready for our short walk back to the L and head back to the hotel. From there who knows whats going to happen, I am sure we will go to dinner and hit up some of New York City's local bars.
